The Times They Are A Changing

Monday, October 26th, 2009

It has finally time to make a small change. Steve the webmaster and I have gone back and forth over this for quite some time in regards to the Ventriloquist Marketplace.

Steve has even been in contact with Mike Brose of “Puppets and Props” discussing whether or not the two websites should charge for listings. Both agreed that due to the work involved, some sort of fee should be put into place.

Starting on Nov 1, 2009 both websites (Puppets and Props, Ventriloquist Marketplace) will be charging $5.00 for a listing. Steve and Mike put in quite a bit of work to get everything posted for you and has done this without compensation.

On the Ventriloquist Marketplace, all classified ads will remain free as long as it is not an ad to sell.

All ads that are currently listed will be grandfathered in and will not get charged.

I hope you all understand and continue to use Mike Brose’s site, Puppets and Props and the Ventriloquist Marketplace because the cost is really tiny when you consider the alternative of using the large auction site. Their listing and final sale fees far exceed the $5.00 either one of us will be charging.

Thanks again for understanding
Dan, Steve & Mike

Be sure to check out the Ventriloquist Marketplace. New items were posted yesterday, plus there are still some great bargains.

There are figures, puppets, novelty items and more. And, don’t forget to check out the “Classified Ads.” In fact, someone is looking for a ventriloquist for a two month contract out of Florida.

You never know what you might find, what people are looking for, so keep checking out the Ventriloquist Marketplace.

Don’t forget, you can also check out the eBay listings from the Ventriloquist Marketplace too.

Happy bargain hunting.

Tim Selberg Masterpiece, eBay and the Ventriloquist Marketplace

Tuesday, May 12th, 2009

This past week I listed the Tim Selberg “Elwood” figure , which was one of his woodcarved figures, for sale on eBay. I did this because it had been on my Ventriloquist Marketplace for a few weeks and although I had quite a few emails asking about him it had not sold.

EBay reaches so many people that sometimes you just have to give it a try. I like everyone who lists on ebay is looking to make a sale. I have said many times that the only way I can keep upgrading and purchasing is to sell sometimes. It was just that way. I needed to make a sale due to other figure purchases.

The Selberg was getting some good action on eBay but I was contacted privately, by a professional performer who saw the figure on the Ventriloquist Marketplace and wanted to make the purchase. I therefore had to end the eBay listing.

I did receive quite a few emails asking why I ended the auction and this is the reason. I want everyone to know that I was not doing anything wrong behind everyone’s back. I had a legitimate buyer by way of my site so eBay was no longer needed.

I love it when I prove that the Ventriloquist Marketplace works. If you have a figure, hard or soft, give the Marketplace a try and you may be pleasantly surprised.!!

Comments About The Ventriloquist Marketplace

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

We get lots of emails into Ventriloquist Central. This particular one is about the Ventriloquist Marketplace.

I purchased the Tony dummy from Chris Corlando that was listed on the Ventriloquist Marketplace. It was the dummy in the Superman costume.

I wanted to let you know this was a very pleasant experience. Chris packed Tony up carefully and was prompt on shipping. Also he helped me a lot on ideas for performing.

Very good hearted people frequent your site, thank you very, very, much!!! I will shop here again!
